DMCA & copyright
AuroraScreen is a private website for me and my friends' community. It works like a search engine over third-party services: we do not host videos, share them or provide the links.
01A private website
AuroraScreen is a private website, put online for me and my friends' community. It is for personal, non-commercial use only. It is not a public streaming service, and nothing on it is sold or offered for sale.
02What we do
AuroraScreen is basically a search engine. When you look up a title, it searches third-party services and shows what they return, in the same way Google or Bing show results from other websites.
We do not provide the links ourselves, and we do not upload, store or control any of the content those services return.
Titles, posters and descriptions come from the TMDB API (The Movie Database). AuroraScreen does not use IMDb. The id in our URLs, as in movie.html?id=…, is a TMDB ID, not an IMDb ID. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
03No file hosting
To be absolutely clear, we do not:
- Host videosNo video files, movies or other media are stored on our servers.
- Upload or shareWe do not upload, share or keep any copyrighted material.
- Provide the linksThe links come from third-party services, not from us.
- Control other sitesWe have no control over the content on third-party websites.
04Legal issues
If you believe your copyrighted work is being infringed, legal issues should be taken up with:
- The third-party services that host and provide the content
- The uploaders who provided the content to those services
- The platforms that have direct control over the files
We are only a search tool, and have no more control over the content than Google or Bing have over the websites they show.
05DMCA compliance
We respect intellectual property rights and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Since we do not host content, we cannot remove files from anyone's servers. We will, however, stop showing a result on AuroraScreen after receiving a valid DMCA notice.
06Filing a notice
If you still wish to ask us to stop showing a result, please include:
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone)
- A description of the copyrighted work being infringed
- The specific URL(s) on our site where the result appears (our IDs are TMDB IDs)
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act
- Your physical or electronic signature
